Hicaliber Consulting Pty Ltd maintains a comprehensive technology insurance program with CFC Underwriting covering its software development, systems integration, middleware, cloud hosting, data processing, automation and technology consulting activities.
Professional Indemnity
Hicaliber maintains Professional Indemnity insurance covering claims arising from the provision of its professional technology services, including:
- negligent acts, errors or omissions;
- misstatements or misrepresentations;
- failure of software or technology products to perform as intended;
- unintentional breach of client contracts;
- liability arising from the work of subcontractors;
- infringement of intellectual property rights, excluding patents;
- breaches of confidentiality and privacy obligations; and
- certain regulatory investigations, fines and penalties where legally insurable.
Cybersecurity and Privacy
Hicaliber maintains cyber insurance covering a broad range of cybersecurity and privacy incidents, including:
- unauthorised access to computer systems;
- malware, ransomware and denial-of-service attacks;
- actual or suspected data breaches;
- loss or unauthorised disclosure of personal, confidential or commercial information;
- privacy and network-security liability;
- regulatory investigations and notification obligations;
- cyber incident response and forensic investigation;
- legal, regulatory and crisis-communications expenses;
- data restoration and system recovery;
- cyber extortion;
- certain cybercrime and social-engineering losses; and
- business interruption arising from cyber incidents, system failures and operator errors.
The policy also provides access to specialist cyber incident-response services and a 24-hour cyber incident-response facility.
Public and Products Liability
Hicaliber maintains liability insurance covering claims for bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and advertising injury arising from its business operations and technology products, subject to the policy terms and conditions.
International Operations
Hicaliber’s insurance program is intended to support services delivered to clients in Australia, New Zealand and other international markets.
International coverage remains subject to the territorial and legal-jurisdiction provisions shown in Hicaliber’s Policy Schedule, including specific conditions applying to claims brought within the United States.

The insured activities include technology services such as:
- software and application development;
- artificial intelligence development and automation services;
- middleware and API integration;
- systems integration;
- data processing, aggregation and migration;
- cloud application and database hosting;
- website, ecommerce and customer portal development;
- technology consulting;
- managed technology support; and
- network and systems management.
